Hello Hello,
For the past week and a half I have been on a European Tour with 66 other exchange students. It was so much fun, the best time of my life. We began in Berlin and stayed there for 2 days. Then we traveled to Carakow, Poland. There we visited Auschwitz and other Jewish landmarks. After Carakow we went to Prague, Czech Rebuplic. It was really fun, and we were there for about 2 days. We did a city tour there which was really fun. That night we went to the 2nd largest club in Europe, it was 5 stories high. It was tons of fun dancing with everyone. We then traveled to Austria. Austria is sooo gorgeous. It is the gate to the Alps so being surrounded by mountains was amazing. We went hiking there and enjoyed the outdoors before we traveled to Italy. We spent 2 day there just to chill on the beach and do whatever we wanted. On the last day we went to Venice for a day. We went on a gondala ride and spent a few hours in the town. Its just as beautiful as they say but it smells pretty yucky. They day after Venice I flew home because I was leaving to travel home in a couple of days. So I was in sweden for about 2 days then I traveled home yesterday, the 12th. All my flights went good. I was traveling for about 15 hours total. I flew from Copenhagen to New York then New York to Salt Lake. I arrived in Salt Lake at about 7:30. All went good. And now I am headed home to Lander today. It feel s really weird and almost not right but right at the same time.

3 Dagar Kvar!
ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT TILL EURO TOUR THEN I AM HOME IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!! IT'S CRAZY!!!!!!!!!
Dinner
Hej!
Well today was my very last day of church here in sweden. It went really good. I said alot of prayers and bore my testimony in swedish. It was pretty good. Afterwards I said goodbye to everyone, but it was weird because it didn't feel like I was really saying goodbye, it felt like I was going to see them next sunday and every sunday after that. Most of the members didn't even realize I was leaving hahaha. I'll miss that ward alot, they are so much fun. After church I came home had a power nap and then got ready for a dinner. I invited all my host families over for dinner but Ann and Håkan weren't able to come. It was really fun though to see everyone again. All the Isrenn boys were there and made me really realize just how much I really miss them, it felt like I had never left. They are so awesome. We ate some steak and hot dogs and potato salad. I made a very very good strawberry pie for dessert and everyone loved it, even Sebastian who isn't a sweets person. It was really good. I got pictures with each of my host families and then a picture with everyone. It was awesome. Gosh I was so lucky to get the families that I did, I couldn't have done better really and truly. I love my swedish families so so so much and I am really going to miss them alot.
Hope everyone is great!

Micah

Midsommar!
Well hello everyone!
So here in lovely rainy Sweden we just celebrated the holiday called midsommar. If you split that word up you can kind of figure our what it is celebrating (mid-sommar) It was kind of like the beginning and middle of summer. So the tradition is that everyone puts up a big cross covered in leaves and flowers and it has little rings of flowers and leaves in the cross, then everyone gets together and dances around the post and sings songs. Its really fun. After dancing around the post everyone eats traditional foods such as sil, nya potatis (new potatoes), grädafil (sour cream), kötbollar (meatballs), and other yummy foods. Its basically just a big party time for everyone. It is also one of the most dangerous times of the year for driving accidents. This year I guess was one of the worst Midsommars they have ever had down here because it rained all midsommar day but it was nice and sunny today (the day after), of course. For my midsommar I went to church for the beginning of the party then I went to Ängelholm, to Rosie's and hung out there for a while, then I came home and ate some jorgubbar, (strawberries), which is a very traditional midsommar food also. Before I went to bed I picked 7 different types of flower to put under my pillow, supposedly if you to that then you will dream about your future husband............I don't think I did but who knows haha. Then today it has been a fairly nice day. It was the first time we were actually able to eat lunch outside this summer! And to make it even better I had my first Mountain Dew in almost a year! It tasted soooo delicious hahaha. Its been a very relaxing day so far! Tomorrow I planning on going to my last day of church in this ward and then I will be having a dinner for most of my host families so I have to get all of that stuff organized!
Hope everyone is doing great!

Micah
P.S. I was looking through my pictures and I remembered that I a couple days ago I traveled up to Karlskrona. I took a train from Laholm to Lund, changed trains in Lund and went up to Karlshamn, then changed to a bus and went the rest of the way up to Karlskrona where I met 5 other guys up there that are exchange students. For midsommar up in Karlskrona they have a huge market, one of the biggest in sweden, so we went to that and it was pretty huge! I stayed the night there and took the same trip back which took about 4 hours altogether. so I have been traveling quite a bit lately. Oh ya I just remember something pretty exciting that I did lately. Last Monday I went with Rosie to Halmstad and we went cliff diving by the ocean, not in the ocean, but close by. It was soooo much fun. We were jumping off of cliffs that were about 15-18 meters high, the highest was 25 but we were NOT going to go off of that one haha. We got some nice videos, it was so much fun! I would do it all over again, and the water wasn't cold at all really, it was quite nice! haha. I know we are crazy, but it was something to get the old adrenaline running haha.

The cliffs Rosie and I were cliff diving off of, it was a really nice day
Just a small portion of the market in Karlskrona

Liseberg
Hej Hej!
Jag liver! Last Saturday my host dad and host sister took me to Liseberg, one of the biggest amusement park in sweden. It is in Gothenburg which is about an hour and a half drive from Halmstad. It was super uper fun, it reminded me of Lagoon. The first ride we went on was the Balder and it was a roller coaster that had a 70% downgrade (I think thats what you call it) anyway it was really awesome. Then we on the Canon which only lasted for about 15 seconds but it was intense. You went through alot of loops and went upside down, it was intense. After that we walked around and went to the swings which were basically big hammer looking things that would swing back and forth really high, it was fun. There were alot of rides but my favorite was called the Atmosfear. Its one of those rides where they pull you up really high and then drop you. We went super uper duper high and dropped us pretty quick, the scariest part was that you didn't slow down until you were past the roof of the building. So when you are going down it looks like you are going to hit the building but you don't. There was another one like the Atmosfear but it was a little smaller. Even though it was smaller it was way way way more scary that the Atmosfear, because once they get you to the top you sit there for what feels like forever and you have no idea when it is going to drop and the anticipation is what kills you and makes it so scary haha. I made Susanna and Claes do the bumper cars, Claes thought that it was too childish but in the end he loved it and we ended up doing it again haha. We went on alot of roller coasters, and I have never really been a roller coaster ride or any kind of rides person because usually I get really queasy and its not fun at all but in Liseberg I didn't feel sick at all except for on one ride. It was called the SpinningStone or something like that. I did fine while the ride was going but it wasn't until after it stopped that I got queasy. It had an arm that would swing back and forth and then the seat you were sitting in would turn every now and then but not all that often. It was fun though. We ended up going on the Balder again and then for last we went on the Colorado which is pretty much the same thing as Rattle Snake Rapids in Lagoon, just not as awesome. Claes did one of those little....I don't know what you call it.....booths? on the side that you have to pay for and you win prizes. Anyway he did that and won a hug box of Geisha which is some of the best chocolate in sweden. So now we have an unlimited supply of geisha for a while. So spending time in Liseberg was AWESOME! I think I will have to go again this summer with friends. On Sunday night I wen to Rosie's place and stayed the night and took the train to school in the morning. On Monday for school we played Bränbol which is a swedish game that is so much fun, its pretty close to baseball with a few differences, when I get home I am definitely getting everyone together for a Bränbol match, I think you guys will like it. Oh ya I just remembered I need to post pictures of Sollefteå for you guys, I will get on that soon! Anyway tomorrow is Sweden's national day so we don't have any school. I don't know what we are going to do but I am sure I will have fun. Then thursday I don't think there is anything important for school so I think maybe one of my friends from school is going to come to Halmstad and we are going to hang out for a bit. Then Friday is graduation and school is OUT!!!!! I am so excited for summer!!!! Only a month and a few days till I am home :). Hope everyone is doing fantabulous!

Flying
Hej everyone!
So I just got back from doing one of the coolest things ever. Claes (my host dad) is learning to be a glider pilot, so I went with him today to his lesson. It was cool watching them. Then at the very end I got to go up in the glider with the instructor. I didn't drive the glider but I was flying in it and that was enough for me! It was so cool. For those of you who don't know what a glider is, it is a small skinny plane with really long wings, it has no engine. So another plane hooks up to it and then when you get up to a certain altitude you detach yourself from the cable that the other plane is pulling you with. After that you just glide on the air and float around and go in circles and everything. Its really cool. I had tons of fun. It really pays of to use the excuse of being an exchange student, that way you get most everything for free and then when you say your american its even better haha.
Hope everyone else is doing great.
Love,
Micah
P.S. The other instructor took some pictures that he will email to Claes so I did get some pictures! :)

Breakthrough
Wow what a day!
So today was a nice day, Rigmor Göte and I went to Resele where Bror Oscar my Great-Great Grandpa was born! It was so cool I was awed the whole time. I took tons and tons of pictures. I took pictures of everything, literally everything I saw. It was such an amazing feeling that I can't explain, to be there. It was so amazing and I wouldn't trade that little time for the world. Any of my family that is reading this (*cough* Grandma and Grandpa Irene) NEVER may I repeat NEVER give up a chance to go to that place while you can and see where your ancestors came from, you will learn so much not only about your ancestors but about yourself and what makes you who you are. I can't stress how important it is that you, John and Evelyn Irene, should go there. It's a once in a lifetime thing. And don't worry about language barriers I have a good friend who can speak swedish now haha. Anyway so that was amazing and the high light of the whole trip. So I learned alot there. After we visited the house we went to the actual town Resele which isn't too far away. There we got ice cream and looked at head stones in the towns graveyard. There is a place in the graveyard called an "All Mans place" (I think thats what it translates to from swedish). Its a place where if you are unable to pay for a nice burial site you can be buried in this place. So its pretty much a giant grave for the poor farmers. Rigmor thinks that is where my great great great grandpa Johan Olof Irén is buried. But nobody knows for sure.
So before I came to sweden we were unable to get past my great great great Grandpa Johan Olof Irén in our family history. I can tell you, today, after 2 hours of research, we are past Johan Olof Irén (born 1846). We are now to my 14th great Grandfather Givlögs (no idea how to pronounce that) born in the 1470's or so. PHEW! It feels so so so so so amazing to finally get something done with family history. But there is a catch in all this amazing news. We are pretty sure that Olof Olofsson is Johan Olof Irén's father but we don't know for sure because Olof and Stina were not married when Johan was born, so its not set in stone. The point is that my 2 hours of research could be a waste of time and we could still be stuck at Johan Olof Irén, but I have a deep feeling that its not, I feel as if Olof Olofsson really was Johan Olof Irén's father. So I am scooting right along trying to tie up all the loose ends in our family history and doing pretty rockin awesome (I have even passed Rigmor in family names! haha) So be ready when I come home family, get your baptismal cards ready! Well it's about 11 pm here and I am exhausted so I am going to bed but I thought all of you would like to hear of my discovery!

Sollefteå
Hello Hello!
Well things have been absolutely crazy crazy for the past couple of weeks. Last Sunday I got to talk to Garrett which was awesome. I loved hearing his voice and hear him speak crazy spanish with Devin, it was awesome even though I felt a little left out not being able to show off my new found language skills with them, but o well maybe another day haha. Then the next day, I think that was Monday the14th? maybe?. Anyway, last Monday I packed things up and went on a 2 1/2 day camping trip with my school class. They called it a Survival Camp but it wasn't even close to a survival camp haha. But it was fun. The 3 graders (seniors) were in charge of the whole deal. They split my class up into teams and we had to play games all day and which ever team had the most points at the end of the day got a "prize" So my team was awesome and we won the first day so our prize was a bag of chips and we were able to sleep "inside". It was more like a little hut without a door that we were able to sleep in. So we set up our tent and set it inside the hut. It worked good enough for us. Oh and just so you know, we had to buy all of our food, and my team bought 38 packs of Ramen Noodles to live off of for 3 days. Hmmm someone wasn't thinking haha. The next day we did alot of walking (If you want to look it up on Google Maps where we walked look up Torekov, Sweden and Båstad, Sweden, we walked all along the coast from Torekov to Båstad.) But my team won that day too, so that night our prize was a bag of chips, apples, and a 2 liter bottle of pop, also we were able to sleep inside and actually house, on the floor of course but still it was alot warmer that sleeping outside. At 3 in the morning the 3rd graders woke us up and made us pack up everything and go outside and meet the others for a Twister face off. My team won that so we were able to continue sleeping inside which was uper nice haha. On Wednesday my team won the finals and won tickets to the tennis tournament in the summer and also tickets to a restraunt. Brawn definitely won over brains durning that camping trip haha there was alot of brawn in my team. My team called me "the beast" haha. I am sure you can guess why haha. So I got home Wednesday night and then the next day I flew out of Ängelholm to go North to Sollefteå to meet my swedish relatives. It was about a 3 hour flight including an hour layover in Stockholm. I flew into Sundsvall which is close to Sollefteå. There I met my grandpas cousin Rigmor. To explain really quickly how I still have relatives in Sweden is goes like this, My great-great-grandpa was married and had a son in sweden but then he decided to move to the USA and left his son and wife in Sweden, promising that he would send for them when he could. He then moved to Wyoming with his brothers and remarried and had my great-grandpa. So Rigmor comes from the swedish marriage and I come from the US marriage. So Rigmor is my 3rd cousin. I have been here for about 2 days and I have met so many cool people and learned so much about my family. I have met my 4th cousins and their children who live in Sollefteå, but they spell Irene Irén. Here in sweden Irene is a first name and Irén is a last. They both sound the same but are different, and rén has nothing to do with reindeer. I saw a picture of my great-great-grandpa for the very first time and I can't explain the feeling I got to finally see who he was. It even brought a tiny tiny tear to my eye. I was also able to see a picture of my great-grandpa for the very first time in my life. My grandpa has always tried to explain his father to me and I had a image in my head of him and you know it was pretty close to the picture. The Irén family is originally from Resele, Sweden which is super close to Sollefteå so on Monday I am going to go and check that out, the original homestead is still there so I am so excited to see that . I can't imagine the feeling I will get when I am there.
It was kind of funny, I have never ever met or talked to or even seen pictures of my 4th cousins but when I went to their home I sat with them in their living room and it felt as if I had known them my whole life it was so cool. And then today I met my other cousin who is 21, Markus, and it felt so natural to be with him even though I had never even heard of him until they told me that he was coming over. He is really cool and I like hanging out with him. I get to hang out with him and his dad tomorrow. I love my family even more now, and I am so excited to learn more about what makes me who I am today. Oh and just for your information, Rigmor and her husband, Göte, don't speak any english so I am here for a week, speaking ONLY swedish. I am doing awesome!!!!! I will post pictures after the trip since I don't have my other computer. I hope everyone is doing awesome and I will try to keep you updated better haha.

Weirdest/Worst Night of my Life
Hej everyone!
Well tonight has been arguably one of the weirdest nights of my life. I spent the day in Angelholm with Rosie all day today which was fun no doubt about it. We made Mexican food all from scratch. So I was supposedly supposed to take the 9:15 train home. After her host dad has dropped me off and everything I am sitting there for the train but it says that the train to Malmo and Copenhagen leaves from the same track and time as the train to Halmstad does. So I wait and see because I know that my train always comes after the one to Copenhagen. So I wait and everything. After that train leaves it turns out that I have to wait for another hour until my train comes YIPEE! Now you have to understand that the train station closes that waiting room indoors at 9:00 pm. So I had to sit out in the freezing cold for an hour and a half. Good thing I had a book to occupy me otherwise it would have been torturous. Finally my train came at 10:15 and everything goes great until I get to Halmstad. Once I get to Halmstad I go to unlock my bike to ride home, since Claes and Lena are at a party and aren't able to pick me up. (I had left my bike by a tree locked up when I took the train this morning to go to Rosie.) I look over to the tree where I had locked my bike and its not there. !!!!!!CRAP!!!!! I knew I had locked it up because I checked to make sure it was locked twice before I got on the train. I start looking through the thousands of bikes around me to see if someone had moved it or something and it is nowhere to be found. During my search a couple of giggly 18 year old girls comes into the bike area and one squats down and starts peeing right there for everyone to see! I just turned around and kept looking for my bike, at this point anybody peeing in the bike racks isn't enough of a distraction from my current mission. Then the other comes over to me and asks me in swedish is there are any shops open tonight. i told her I didn't know and she said something else in swedish that I didn't understand and asked her if she could say it in english. Well that one little question blew my cover and she starting asking me questions like if I was swedish. what I was doing in sweden? If I had been to NY? and so on. Then her friend, the one that was peeing in the bike racks came over and started talking to me too. Turns out they thought I was 21 years old and was wondering if I knew of any places to get a good drink. I was probably the very worst person to ask. By this time I knew there was no hope in finding the bike tonight so I decided to walk home. The girls asked me if I wanted to go get drinks with them. I told them I would walk them to the intersection but that I would have to go home. So we started walking down the the big intersection which was about 3 blocks down. I could definitely tell they had already had a few drinks, I could smell it on their breath and the peeing one had to hold onto me pretty much to whole way to get to the intersection. During this time they talked TONS! I was shocked because I had never met them but they were talking to me like we had known each other for a lifetime. Turns out I sound like Lindsay Lowham off of Means Girls and this other lady off of the movie She's the Man. haha. Funny girls. By the time we got to the intersection they had already forgotten that i couldn't go with them. So told them again and they gave me both of the cell phone numbers just in case. Then I made the long trek home on the way I called Lena and told her that her bike has possibly been stolen and I told her everything, how I had double checked that it was locked and everything. She understood and we agreed to look for it tomorrow. I pray we find it! I feel so bad! It has been such a weird night that I am scared to do anything that might cause it to get any weirder. So I am going to bed. I hope tomorrow is better!
Hope everyone had a good day!

Happy Easter!
Hej Hej everyone!
I hope everyone had a FANTABULOUS Easter! Mine was pretty good. I know all of you have no idea where I am now. On the Thursday after I got back I moved to a different city, Halmstad, and I am living with my rotary councilor and his family. They have 2 daughters but both of them are not living at home anymore. On might be moving back home soon but no definite plans. So I have been here for about 2 weeks now. The friday after I moved in the other exchange student named Matt who lives here asked if I wanted to get pizza and watch a movie with him and his host brother. So I said yes and we agreed to meet at Stora Torg which is the city center. Any, you have to realize that I have only been here for a day so I do NOT know my way around the city but I decided to take the bike down there anyway. So I made it down there and we went and had pizza and then went to Matts place to watch a movie, well the movie didn't end till about 12.30 a.m. haha. So it was dark and I had no idea how to get home. I rode around on my bike for about an hour but couldn't find the bike underpass to get home. So I had to call for some help from the host parents. They are too kind to me. On Saturday and Sunday I went to church for General Conference. I was able to watch almost the whole thing in english which was really nice. This whole past week we have had Påsklov for school which is easter break so I didn't have school all week. SLEEP!!! haha. So I slept all Monday and then on Tuesday I went to Ängelholm and hung out with Rosie all day. We went and fikad and ate chinese food then we went to the gym and worked out for a bit. Afterwards we threw the softball around in an abandoned parking lot until my train left. It was a good day. On wednesday I stayed home until about 3 when Susanna, the youngest daughter, 21, came and picked me up and took me to show me around Halmstad a bit. We went to this Italian ice cream place and had the best ice cream ever! It was so good. It actually kind of reminded me of Farson ice cream. So it was really fun to spend some time with Susanna, she is really cool. On Thursday Rosie came here for the day which turned into two days but oh well haha. We just chilled and threw around the softball and walked around Halmstad which was fun. It got really late so we asked if she could stay the night and Claes and Lena said it was ok. On Friday Rosie, Claes, Lena, and I went to Landkrona which is close to Malmö, to go to a art gallery thing. It was pretty good. Rosie and I watched Ice Age 2 in the kids section while all of the adults went and looked at art. haha. it was awesome. After the main gallery we got in the car and went around to different artists studios. The first one we went to was absolutely awful and uncomfortable but Rosie and I survived. The other six places were pretty good. The tour ended in Ängelholm so we dropped Rosie off there. On Saturday it was Easter so we pretty much stayed home and made food for the dinner that night. Sweden, well at least this family, have a tradition of eating fish on Påskdagen (Easter day) and then on Påskafton (the day after easter or Easter Sunday) you eat lamb. So we had fish and I choked down some Ludafisk and Sil while I was at it. I will probably never ever in my life get used to that taste. BLAH! but its tradition so I managed. Other than that the dinner was good. For Easter day we had Lena's sister and her husband over for dinner and then Claes and Lena's two daughters and one of their boyfriends. It was good. The next night we had lamb and some more sil and ludafisk. I ate some more to be polite but not to much. The lamb was good though. That night we had some of Claes and Lena's good friends over and their daughter and her boyfriend and of course Claes and Lena's two daughters. It was really fun. After dinner I talked to mom and when I got done talking to her I showed all the them how to play "Spoons" it was really fun and all of them really enjoyed it. Today is Monday and its a "Red Day" in sweden so there is no work or school. So I got to sleep again. haha. But today I made some amazing bread for dinner. Lena said its the most amazing bread she has ever seen, hope she thinks the same thing after she has eaten it haha. But I think it will be good. So that is really all that has been up with me lately. Hope everyone had a great Easter!
Love,
Micah
P.S. I can't believe I have only been back in Sweden for 2 weeks, it feels like forever!

The Crazy Life of Me
Well hello everyone! Most of you probably already know what my past week or so has been like. On Thursday, March 15th, I flew out of Copenhagen. When I got there the security was on strike, the lines were so loooonnnngggg. Thankfully by the time I checked in my bags and was ready to go through security the strike had ended. So it was about a 9 hour flight from Copenhagen to D.C. I had a 3 hour delay in D.C. which was nice. I then flew from D.C. to Salt Lake. It felt like a longer flight than the 9 hour to D.C.. But I arrived in Salt Lake at about 10.30 where I was met by Mom, Papa, Colby, and Devin. It was really good. We then drove to Bountiful and stayed the night. The next day Devin and Torrie were married in the LDS Bountiful Temple. It was wonderful beautiful day even if the wind was blowing like crazy. After the wedding everyone headed to Olive Garden for a wonderful dinner, after dinner we headed to Green River. Saturday we had a reception in Green River, where Torrie is from. It was really fun. After the reception we drove home to little ol' Lander. It was nice to be back in my own bed. Actually, when I arrived and was with everyone it felt like I had never really left, like I had just fallen asleep and woken up. I was put in charge of the newest member of our family other than Torrie, Mak the dog. He is a springer spaniel, chocolate lab. He looks like a springer spaniel though. He is the cutest little thing int he whole entire world! So I spent the whole week doing all kinds of things such as getting my drivers license and taking a test and going to help in school, going on horse rides and many other things. It was a very fun busy though. On Friday night Colby had his Eagle Court of Honor which went really well. On Saturday I spent the whole day at the church setting up for the reception the night. The reception was beautiful. We had a great turn out. It was so good to see everyone. On Sunday I went to church and after church mom and I headed off to Salt Lake again. It was harder saying goodbye this time than when I said goodbye the first time. It was so hard leaving my family and that tiny little puppy. I hate goodbyes. But this was not a goodbye it was a "see ya in 3 months!" That's right! Only 3 months left. The plan is that I will go home on July 12th so that I am able to go on the trek. So on Monday I got up at 5 a.m. and flew out of Salt Lake at 8.30 a.m.. I flew to D.C. and then to Copenhagen from there. Everything went perfectly, no delays, no strikes, no problems. I got into Copenhagen at about 7.30 a.m. Tuesday morning. I then took the 9.30 train from the Copenhagen airport to Laholm where Matilda picked me up. I went to Ann's house because Katrine, Calle, and their family had already left to Norway. I will be in Ann's place until tomorrow then I will be moving the rotary councilors place in Halmstad on Thursday evening. I will probably only be there for a month then after that I have no idea where I am going. I am quite jet lagged but doing ok :). Hope everyone is doing great!

Crazy Life of an Exchange Student
Hej everyone!
Well life has been quite crazy lately in my world. A couple of weekends ago I went to Malmö with Rosie and another exchange student named Alessandro but I think I already told you about that. Anyway, the Friday after that I went to Malmö again but this time I was by myself. I had to go and get my residency permit. I had to walk to the place and I was a wii bit disoriented in the beginning but in the end I found my way there. I ended up in the very ghetto part of Malmö where the immigrations place. I made it and it took about 10 minutes to get the whole process done, and I met a guy from Seattle there, so I talked to him for a while. It was pretty chill. After I was done I sped walked all the way back to the center. haha. Made it out of there in record time haha. I got on the train and headed to Ängelholm and had fika at a chinese restaurant with Rosie. It was yummy. On Monday I went and "tested out" the next family that I might have. They live out in the middle of nowhere. So Monday everyone was gone except the 17 year old girl and me. She slept in till about 12.30 and then she had a paper to write so I didn't see pretty much all day. And I had no idea where anything was so I didn't eat anything until dinner, which was at 6.30. So I was a wii bit hungry. They are really nice people. I found out it would take me at least 2 hours to get to school from their house each day. Fun I know right :). Then on Tuesday I went to Rosies house in Ängelholm and hung out with her until about 9 pm. During the time that I was there I ended up cutting Rosies hair, which turned out good. My whole diet for that day was in the morning I had yogurt and a piece of bread, for lunch I had 2 brownies, then for dinner I had 1/2 a brownie. Very Healthy haha. The brownies did bring their revenge in the end haha. On Wednesday I was home and finished packing. And it is about 6.30 a.m. right now. I fly out of Copenhagen today! Leave Copenhagen at 12.20 and change planes in D.C. then get into Salt Lake at about 10.10 pm. I am so excited to see all the family! :) I will be home for 10 days! So excited. Hope everyone is doing great!

Malmö
Hej Hej Hej!!!
How are things going down in little ol' Wyoming? Things are going really great up here! Last Saturday I went to Malmö for the day with Rosie and another exchange student that just got here in January from New Zealand, Alessandro. He's pretty cool. I woke up at about 8:30 and at 9 I walked to the train station which took about 30 minutes. It was a really nice day so I really didn't mind walking. It was one of the first sunny days in Mellbystrand since winter started so I was very excited! haha. It's funny to watch swedish people when the sun comes out. Let's just say they thoroughly enjoy it. So I enjoyed the sun. We didn't do anything special in Malmö the whole day. We walked around and looked in shops and watched people and fikad. We had a lot of fun. After that I came home and it was about 9:30 by the time I got to the train station and from the inside of the train it looked pitch black outside. I knew I had to walk home so I was kind of worried because it looked like I would even be able to see my hand in front of my face. But once I started walking there was a lot of light since it was clear skies and there was half a moon. So I was fine. But it only took 20 minutes for me to get home haha :). I was an amazing speed walker. Sunday I went to church, it was stake conference, so I didn't have to play the piano haha. When I got home I went on a walk and visited Ann. It was a very very nice visit. I miss the dogs haha, surprisingly they still remember me! :). Håkan brought back some semlor from MAXI so I got to have one of those and it was delicious. So it was a very good day. School is going good. Only one more week of school! Hope everyone is doing great.

How are things going down in little ol' Wyoming? Things are going really great up here! Last Saturday I went to Malmö for the day with Rosie and another exchange student that just got here in January from New Zealand, Alessandro. He's pretty cool. My Turn
Now its my turn to jump :). It doesn't look like we jumped very far but when you jumped it felt like you were in the air forever! It was awesome!
Spring Hoppa!
This is the cornus that we jumped off and got stuck in that I told you about in the last post. This is the first time we jumped off of it. Phillip is jumping.
More Norway! :)
NORWAY!!!!
I made a beautiful snow angel!
The snow was so deep that there was just a little tunnel made for the kitchen window so Nikolai, Phillip, and I crawled down there and scared Mormor haha. (Katrine's mom)
The last day the snow was really wet and heavy so when Sebastian, Phillip and I jumped off a cornus we got stuck and couldn't get our feet out,and it was getting dark. I ended up getting one foot out and was able to get my other foot out of my shoe. I ran down to the cabin without one shoe, got a shovel and went and dug everyone else out haha. Memories haha :)
Norway Pictures
Gosh I love this kid, Nikolai. He took my sunglasses and posed hahaha. It was an entertain soccer tournament, especially when you are put in charge of Nikolai.
Nikolai made a cave in the snow. You can kind of see him behind me. It was too small for me and Phillip to get in haha.
Cross-country skiing with Phillip :)
(Norweigan) Mista-paka break!! (Swedish) FIKA!!! with Nikolai cross-country skiing. :)

Hej Hej!
Wow lots has happened! Things are going amazing here! Right now I am in the middle of class but we are just taking notes that I already have so instead I am going to write to you guys! :) So this past week school was out for something called Sportlov, I don't know exactly why but I'm cool with a break haha. So for Sportlov my family and I set out to Norway. Katrine, my host mom, her family owns a cabin in the mountains between Bergen and Oslo. So we left Saturday morning at about 5.30 a.m. and drove for about 10 hours and arrived at the cottage at 3 p.m.. I slept at least half of the way so it only felt like a 5 hour ride there. Katrine's parents were at the cottage when we arrived. The next day Sebastian was sick with a really high fever, so Katrine's mom stayed with him while Katrine, Calle, Phillip, Nikolai, and I went out cross-country skiing. Katrine had to teach me since i have never done skiing that way. In the beginning I fell like 7 times but in the end I got it and Phillip and I were way ahead of everyone. You know I really enjoy x-country skiing, I would never do it competitively, but I enjoy just going out and getting the heart rate going and see everything. It was a little windy so we didn't go far before we went back to the cabin. When we got back Phillip and I stayed outside and played in the snow, most of the time we were jumping off the roof into the snow, it was fun. The next day Sebastian was still sick, he was sick with fever until about Friday. Anway, the next day we went out on skiing again and then Phillip and I continued to jump off of the roof, we advanced to running and jumping off the roof. The same routine happened on Tuesday. Then on wednesday after our usual ski outing Phillip came down with fever and also Calle came down with it too. On Thursday we had planned to go to Gailo to go down hill skiing for the rest of the week but everyone was sick so we decided not to go. Also on Thursday Katrine's parents left to go back home, they are really nice. That night Katrine came down with fever also. So on Thursday night it was up to Phillip (he was better by now) to make dinner, and we made a really yummy dinner and chicken and rice. On Saturday it was really really windy and snowy, we had originally planned to go home that day but Nikolai came down with a very high fever and Katrine was still sick. So on Saturday Calle and I packed up the car and we were ready to head home but the road never opened. So we stayed one more night. Since we had originally planned to go to Gailo we didn't pack any food for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Good thing the road opened on Sunday because we were getting really low on food. haha. It was a very long ride home. But we got home at about 8 p.m. I had a really really great time. I definitely knew when we got back into sweden because there was no snow. There was sooooo much snow in Norway, it snowed almost everyday. It was way fun. I loved it. Now, if I had the choice to move to Sweden or Norway I would most likely move to Norway. It fell in love with it haha. I will post some pictures later. Hope everyone is doing great!

Hej everyone!
Hej Hej!
Oh my goodness I am actually writing a blog that isn't like 5 weeks late! haha. I'm pretty proud of myself haha :). Anyway, things have been going really great! On Thursday we played floor hockey in P.E.. It was really fun until this one girl accidentally hit my thumb with her hockey stick which ended up bending half of my fingernail back and it started bleeding everywhere without my knowledge haha. It bled for a while but after it dried up it was good, a little soar, but good over all. Then on Friday I went to school and got home at about 12.30. That night I went to basketball and had a fun time there as always. Sebastian and his friend, Ludvig, and Katrina watched the last 45 minutes of practice. Ludvig said that I am the best basketball player he has ever met, obviously he hasn't met many haha but I will enjoy it while I can haha. After practice we picked Rosie, the exchange student in Ängelholm, up at the Laholm train station and brought her to our house. Mom had recently sent me a package with Geridelli (however you spell that) brownie mix. So the americans made some delicious brownies! Everyone loved them :), especially Phillip haha. So Rosie and I chilled with all the kids upstairs playing video games and chillin' out to some music. It was really fun and I am sure that the boys had an awesome time. At one point we started throwing my softball around in my room and Katrine, my host mom, was totally cool with it. She actually stood there and watched. It was really fun, I got taught Phillip and Sebastian how to catch with a baseball glove and everything. At about 11.30 we finally got to bed. I woke up at 7.30 and Rosie slept in till bout 10 haha. It turned out to be -15 degrees Celcius that day so Rosie decided she didn't want to go to Göteborg like we had planned. I was going to meet the girl that went to Lander for a year from sweden in Göteborg but since we didn't go I wasn't able to meet her there. It was kind of sad but owell. So Rosie and I just chilled at home with Sebastian and Ludvig and didn't do anything. We made some Reesee's pancakes that were really good and played some ping-pong and watched Youtube. Rosie and I's new moto is "What would Ian do?" Its a long story haha. Anyway that even there was a really nice sunset so we went to the beach and took some pictures and made a "documentary" of the legend of the penguins and the whale and the alpha sea monkey. It was quite interesting. haha. Then when we got home Katrine and Calle took Rosie back to the train station. Things are going great here! Love ya bunches,

So Lazy
Well hello everyone!
Long time no write too haha. I think its probably been like 2 almost 3 weeks since the last I blogged, I never said I was good about blogging haha. Well a couple of weekends ago on a saturday Sebastian and Phillip had hockey games in Ängelholm. They played good but they both lost. It was really windy and cold there and about half way through Phillips game it started snowing outside. By the time Sebastian was done there was a blanket of wet heavy snow on everything. Sebastian didn't ride with us home so it was just me Phillip, Nickolai, Katrine, and Calle. As soon as we walked out of the hockey building the snowballs started flying between me and Phillip. Everytime we got out of the car to go anywhere Phillip and I started a war haha. Going in Burger King we had a war, picking up on of Nickolai's friends we had a war and finally when we got home we were out in the snow for about half an hour throwing snowballs at each other. We were both soaked by the time we went in haha. The boys went back out in the snow while I stayed in and made some cinnamon streusel blueberry muffins, that I burnt a tiny bit. But they were still really yummy and everyone loved them. So everything went good the next week. I went to church and that was good and went to school and basketball and that all went good. Then on the next Sunday I started getting sick, then monday i had a fever, and Tuesday I had a pretty bad cold. I went to school on Wednesday and Thursday and Friday and was feeling better. But even now I still have a pretty bad cough and nose issue. Friday was Sebastians 10th birthday. But since he had practice and tons of other stuff we decided to celebrate it on Saturday. But on Friday we went to some of Calle and Katrine's friends that live in Mellbystrand and played a few games there. I had to read all of the questions in the game in swedish but one time I thought I had read it in swedish but everyone said I read it in english. It was really confusing but I guess I just translated the question in my head so fast that I just read it out in english without even knowing haha. Then Saturday i spent all day making vanilla cupcakes with whipped cream filling and an oreo vanilla frosting on the top. It was a lot of work and Sebastian really enjoyed it that I was making them for him but he didn't eat any of them. Its not that they were bad at all because everyone else loved them its just that Sebastian doesn't like sweets, its just who he is. So on Saturday we had Calle's brother and sister and their families over for dinner. Calle's 2nd oldest brother is about 50 and his just oldest sister is close to 50 also and they have a son who is about 25. So it was kind of a old persons dinner but it was for sebastian and he enjoyed it a lot. It was really fun. On Sunday i went to church and played the piano. We now have 3 elders in our ward instead of 2 sisters, so I met the elders and they are pretty cool. After sacrament we had a little fika in the relief society room. Since the bishops sister got married this past weekend they had a lot of leftovers from the reception so they brought it to the church and we ate some of it but there is still tons left. There were tons of visitors that sunday, it was mostly the bishops family. But it was really fun to get to know all of them. I went to school yesterday and afterwards I came home and Katrine and Calle had a meeting so I wasn't able to go to basketball so I stayed home with my buddy Nickolai and made Mac'n'Cheese for us and watched cartoons. It was a good day. I hope everyone is doing great! Keep smiling and be happy!

Semla
This is yummy thing that I was talking about in my last post. Swedish people only eat this between December and February. And they have a special day in February that they eat these on. All it is is a roll with the top cut of and the insides taken out. Then an almond mixture or jelly in put in the bottom. Then they fill the rest of it up with whipped cream and then put the top back on and sprinkle it with powdered sugar. It is super yummy! And it is called Semla. I will make it sometime when I'm back in the US.

Howdy alihopa!
How is everyone? I am still doing pretty awesome. I am really tired right now because of this past weekend but I'm doing good. I think the last time I wrote there were tons of boys running around the house. Well those boys didn't go home until 2 a.m.. One stayed the night but the parents didn't leave till 2. So I was exhausted. Then in the morning I got up at 8.00 and got ready for church. I went to church then Calle picked me up and took me pretty much straight to a party at 2 pm. It was kind of a fika party to say goodbye to christmas. So we danced around the christmas tree again, then we ate these really yummy things, I'll post a picture of them but i can't remember the name of them haha. But they were really yummy. So that party lasted till about 8.30. So I came home and chilled, talked to the parents and went to bed at about 10.30. So I was a wii bit tired when school came along. But school went good. I went to basketball practice last night. We did conditioning most of the time. One of the hardest things we did was we had to get on our stomachs and drag ourself across the whole court just using our arms. It was quite difficult. There was one thing that we had to do that was super super hard. One person was on their back with their feet up and the other person had to grab their ankles. The person on the ground then had to extend their legs and use the person holding their ankles the pull themselves back in . I think I pulled my hamstring doing that because it is KILLING me. So that night I iced it. Katrina is the best person in the world. She served me oatmeal with cinnamon and sugar while I was skyping terrell and icing my leg. She is so awesome. So now I am at school typing this! Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Hej Hej!
Well hello everyone. How are you? Things are going great here. I'm happy and very healthy! Well a couple of days ago....I think it was Wednesday, Katrina was running around trying to get everything done and get everyone to where they needed to be. So I offered to make dinner, and guess what I made?!? MAC'N'CHEESE! haha I made like 3 boxes and it was all gone that day. Everyone really really enjoyed it. They were so surprised when they found out what it was haha. Also another discovery that they have made, well Phillip has made, in the food world is Peanut butter and Jelly together. But Phillip likes that haha. So on Friday I went to school and then that afternoon at about 5 Katrina took me to Halmstad to go play basketball! It was way fun. We almost got lost going there but we made it haha. Everyone was really nice there. The girls practice with the boys and there are all ages from 7-18. So we are quite mixed. But most of the kids around between he ages of 14 and 17. But we just did some dribbling drills and shooting drills and then we scrimmaged, girls against girls and boys against boys. It was really really fun and everyone was so super nice. It was amazing. I had an awesome time and can't wait to go back on monday. Practices are every monday wednesday and thursday. I can't tell you how awesome it was to have something to do. The funny thing is that usually after practice you should be tired but oh my gosh I had sooooo much energy afterwards it was crazy. haha. I was soooooo hyper haha. Then today I slept in a little and then went to Halmstad with everyone and watched Sebastian and Phillip play hockey. They both did good. Sebastians team lost but Phillips team won 5-1. It was a good game. I also helped out in the parents shop, only speaking swedish to the customers! Did pretty good if I say so myself. After hockey I met Matt (the kid from Nebraska) in the city center and went to his house to watch a movie. His family is really nice. So I was there until about 6 then I came home and now there are a lot of boys running around because some of the parents on the hockey team came over to have a meeting and dinner and they brought all of their boys. So it is a wii bit noisy here haha. But thats good. Its nice to have some noise :) I am so happy and content its amazing! Lovin' life! Hope everyone else is lovin' life!
Love you all so much,
Micah

Love you all so much,
Micah

Så Glada!
Hej ya'll!
Hur är ni? Jag är så jättar bra!! Nu jag är i Naturkunskap classen haha. Men jag göra ingenting, eftersom jag förstår ingenting. :) TRANSLATION: How is everyone? I am soooo very good. Now I am in Science class haha, but I'm not doing anything, because I understand nothing. (She is speaking too fast).
Anyway. So I have been in my new family for almost 2 weeks. Things are going awesome! I feel so at home and content with everything its awesome. Lets see. What has happened in the past 2 weeks. So Monday as you know I moved in. On Tuesday I went to Halmstad with Katrina and the boys since the boys had hockey practice. So that was good. Since it was a break the hockey rink was open to the public so Katrina and I did a little bit of iceskating, the boys were shocked and amazed that I actually got their mom onto the ice haha. It was really fun but I should have worn longer socks because now I have scabs on both of my ankles from the skates. So thats pretty much all we did that day. Then on Wednesday I went to Halmstad again but this time while the boys were practicing I went to the city square to meet up with another exchange student that would be leaving that friday to go back home. After about half an hour of waiting for him I gave up and just started doing what I wanted, shopping. Then about half an hour after that another friend exchange student that lives in Halmstad met up with me and we had a little fika then I went to his house for a while since it was really windy. So I met his host family, who ended up knowing my new host family. So I ate dinner there and chilled till Phillip got done with practice. Then on Thursday I slept in really late and that night we went to one of Katrina's friends in Laholm and had dinner there at 6. It was really good and it was really fun. I think we stayed there till about 2 am. Ya it was a really long time but it was fun. So I slept in on Friday too haha. On Friday night us and 2 other families got together and got a progressive dinner. We started at our house with appetizers that Phillip and I made (potato skins with cheese and bacon.) It was yummy. Then we went to another house for dinner and the next house for dessert. It was really good. Everything was really fun. haha we had to leave early because Phillip had a match the next morning so we left at 12:30 haha. I know realllyyy early haha. On Saturday I didn't sleep in. I got up and went to Phillips game and helped out with the concession stand with Nikoli. So it was pretty fun. On Sunday I went to church then I came home and chilled. On Monday I started school and that is pretty much all I have been doing for this week. I have to walk to the bus stop which is about 15 minutes by foot. But I didn't know where I was going on the first day so when I was walking home I got totally lost. There are so many little streets that I was totally lost. It was dark and raining. But I made it home in about half an hour haha. After that I have been able to find my way pretty well haha. So things are going great here! Having an awesome time and I am very happy! Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Micah

Something New for the New Year
Well Hello everyone!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! GOTT NYTT ÅR!!!! I hope everyone had an awesome New Year! I did. A little stressful but that ok. I went to Aileen's house at 6 and she had a friend and her sister and her sisters friend. So we chilled till about 7 then we cooked some dinner and ate that. It was good. Then we chilled some more and listened to some music. Then at about 11:30 or so we walked to the beach and hung out there till 12. On the beach in Mellbystrand you can see to your right Halmstad, and on the left you can see Båstad and the Mellbystrand in behind you. When the clock hit 12 fireworks went everywhere. We were surrounded by fireworks. It was awesome! Aileen and her friend were scared of fireworks so they hid behind me hahaha. Sacrifice the american haha just kidding haha. There were a lot of people that lit little air-balloon like things and sent them floating in the air to the sea. It was pretty cool. After that we went back to their house and ate some delicious ice cream. It had chocolate and murang(however you spell that haha) drops, and daim chocolates. It was soooo yummy. Then Ann, Håkan, and I went home. (Ann and Håkan had gone to the Strand Hotel for dinner with Aileen's parents and a few other couples.) Then on Sunday I went to church. Since it was New Years Day and everyone had stayed up really late that night and decided to skip church, there were only 5 of us at church haha. But for sacrament more people came. I played the piano and did pretty well. And today I went to the Chiropractor in Ängelholm and that went pretty good. After that I was home alone till about 6 then Ann came home and helped me pack all my stuff into the car and dropped me off at my second host family! So now I am with a new family. I think I told you about them in an earlier post. But I'm here and trying to unpack haha, don't feel like unpacked 2 days worth of packing after carrying them only 2 minutes from the place where I packed everything up hahaha. I think I'm going to save that for tomorrow hahaha. So I am doing awesome! Things are great! If Ann is reading this, Thank you Thank you Thank you. You have no idea how grateful I am that I was able to live in you home. Thank you so much! Well everyone back home, thats the big news! Have a very good New Year 2012! Love you so much!
